Ultra Rugged RFID Tags are ideal for attaching or embedding into medical devices.

Designed to withstand the high pressure and temperature of the autoclave process, the tags are laser welded to the instrument to preserve critical information for up to 2000 sterilization cycles.

High Frequendy (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID technologies have widespread acceptance in the medical field tracking assets in the supply and inventory management areas, but the size of the transponders and  transceivers did not lend themselves to integration into metal medical  instruments. Our technology is the solution for using RFID to track medical instruments in a hospital environments.
